Sunapee, Georges Mills, and Kezar Lake!

 I started off today by developing the film from Quechee and organizing the negatives I had already developed. To do this, I cut the film into strips and slide them into plastic sleeves. I then place the page over a light so I can see more clearly what the images may look like once I enlarge and print them. Having this clarity, I can cross out any image that are damaged or I just do not like and don't feel the need to print, I can also note which images I am particularly drawn to and absolutely need to print. 

My original plan for the rest of the day was to travel to Portsmouth, NH and capture some pictures of the adorable city by the water. Unfortunately, some things came up and I was not able to go. Instead, I went around Sunapee, Georges Mills, and Kezar Lake! I drove to some main points like Sunapee Harbor, but I also made some stops to places that are not as known, some that are even hidden. 

Though I was disappointed I did not go to Portsmouth, I had a ton of fun touring around the different spots, some I had not been to in years. Hopefully, I will be able to fulfill my Portsmouth dreams later this week!

       Welcome to my final blog of senior project! I picked up right where I left off yesterday by continuing to organize which photos would be used in my presentation tomorrow and what wouldn't. I had to separate some of the photos that had damaged, duplicates, or were too dark or too light. For example, the three photos below are all from the same negative, however they were exposed to different light and cropped differently. I had to pick one of the pictures to use in my final poster board, I felt the top left was the right choice.  After doing this with any other duplicates, I started to lay out my poster boards. I used the four themes, nature, people, Eliza, and landscape. I taped down the prints rather than gluing because I want to be able to take them off after I present the photos.  I played around with different formats and laid the photos many different watts before I felt satisfied. The Photos Come to Life

  What an amazing day dedicated to printing the photos I have been taking the past few weeks! I have not yet printed because we needed to replace some of the chemicals in the dark room. Once they arrived, Kate replenished them and I was clear to start working. My anticipation to see the photos of yesterday's photoshoot and Quechee Gorge was through the roof. I was quite the busy bee trying to hustle and print all of my favorite photos.  At first, my excitement took over me and I grew a little impatient so my first few prints were either damaged, chemically incorrect, or the wrong lighting. Fortunately, after some time I paused and forced myself to slow down because I could feel frustration building up. When I had relaxed, the process became a lot smoother and I could really see my photos come to life!
