Newbury & New Rolls of Film

Though I have been quite adventurous the past week, today was a much more laid back day. I kicked it off a little earlier than usual and drove through Sunapee and Newbury, NH. Most of the photos I captured were of the beautiful mountains nearby and streams that appeared at almost every turn. I did this for about an hour before I decided it was time to develop my extra film from the previous days.

I have become faster and more delicate with the developing process as time goes on. I’ve noticed that it takes me less time and the rolls are not damaged by chemicals, light exposure, or from me bending them poorly anymore. I no longer have to worry about losing my photos to those mistakes. I then organized and cut up my film from a few days ago that needed to dry.

Afterwards, I searched for new areas close to me that I could visit sometime this week. I looked at the Shelburne Farms, the Lincoln Family Home, and Billings Farm and Museum, all in Vermont. I also looked to find inspiration in some of the photography books in the studio.

I revised the work of Ansel Adams and Robert Frank. While doing this, I discovered some photos I was really interested in. I hope sometime this week I can recreate something similar to them. I look forward to what tomorrow has in store for me!
